Why Train Your Intuition?
Professional chefs don't pull out a calculator when they see "350°F" in a recipe but have a Celsius oven. They just know it's roughly 180°C.
This game trains that same instinct. By repeatedly comparing values, you'll subconsciously memorize the key "landmarks" of cooking temperatures:
- Simmering: ~85°C / 185°F
- Low Bake: 150°C / 300°F
- Standard Bake: 180°C / 350°F / Gas 4
- Roasting: 220°C / 425°F / Gas 7
FAQ
Includes Gas Marks?
Yes! We include Gas Marks 1 through 9 to help you master those tricky British recipes.
Is it exact?
The game allows for small margins. If temperatures are theoretically identical, we adjust them slightly so there is always a correct 'Hotter' or 'Colder' answer.
What is the logic?
We generated thousands of pairs. 200°C vs 400°F? 400°F (204°C) is Hotter. Gas Mark 6 vs 350°F? Gas Mark 6 (200°C) is Hotter than 350°F (177°C).
